Over the years, we have offered numerous lots of JDM 2 cards, including complete set lots (even in this very auction), group lots and single card lots. However, this is the first time that we have ever had the pleasure to offer the JDM 2 card of Kaoru Betto as a single authenticated, graded and encapsulated lot.

This is the only example of the JDM 2 Betto card that, to our knowledge, has ever been authenticated by SGC. The card received the grade of SGC 88 (Nm/Mt), making this card a 1 of 1 specimen with no other graded at the same level or higher. PSA's population report shows only one example of the JDM 2 Betto card as having been graded. That card received the grade of PSA 8 (Nm/Mt).

Kaoru Betto, known as the "Gentleman of Baseball", was a lifetime .302 hitter who won the Central League MVP award in 1950 as a member of the Mainichi Orions. However, as seen here in this 1949 issue, he is shown as a member of the Hanshin Tigers, his team in 1948-49.

Size: 5 1/8" x 7 9/16"
