The text at the bottom of the card lists Juzo Sanada as a member of the West All Star Team in the East-West Series held that year. Sanada is pictured in his 1949 Robins team jersey. The card appears to have been produced as a second prize winner card on a display sheet. As such, the card has extra paper and glue residue on the blank back.
Juzo Sanada, a pitcher, was known for having the best curveball in Japan Pro Baseball, which he rode to 39 victories in 1950. During his career, he pitched two no hitters. He was inducted into the Japan Pro Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.
