Kazuto Tsuruoka (1916-2000), originally played under the name of Kazuto Yamamoto from 1946 to 1958. Known as The Godfather, the right handed hitting infielder, was named to the all star team in each of his eight professional seasons
with the Hawks. However, he was best known for his managerial skills. He managed in Japan Pro Baseball for a record 23 consecutive seasons, leading the Hawks to 11 pennants and two Japan Series championships before retiring as a
manager in 1968. Tsuruoka autographed the shikishi in black marker.
