This rare bromide from the JBR 59 Hinomaru Continuation Baseball Collection set features three Hall of Fame pitchers who represented the Central League All Star Team in 1959--Masaaki Koyama (Tigers) who won 320 games lifetime, the incomparable left hander Masaichi Kaneda (Swallows) who won a Japan record 400 games, and struck out a Japan record 4,490 batters, and Motoshi Fujita (Giants) who won 27 games in 1959 and had a lifetime ERA of 2.20. The Japanese text printed on the otherwise blank back was stamped onto the card by the manufacturer as part of the production process, indicating that the bearer of this card was entitled to a prize, and thus does not detract from the card's value, but rather enhances it.
