The JGA 177 set was originally issued as an uncut sheet of 52 cards plus two jokers. Most cards feature sumo stars and celebrities from the world of entertainment. However, four cards each were produced of Masaichi Kaneda (HOF)
and Shigeo Nagashima (HOF). Based on Kaneda's uniform style and Nagashima's rookie year being 1958, we know that the set was produced in either 1958 or 1959. Since 1958 was Nagashima's rookie year, the cards in this lot could be
Nagashima rookie cards, but they may be second year cards. Each card front contains a menko number at the top, and from left to right across the bottom, the name of a color, season of the year and playing card designation.
Size: Each card is approximately 1 1/2" x 2 5/8". The uncut strip of four cards is 6 1/8" x 2 5/8".
Condition: The strip is Nm. Three of the four cards would be Nm/Mt or Mint if cut individually from the strip.
