The American who changed Japanese baseball was at the height of his powers during the early 1950s. In 1953 he won his first Central League Best 9 award. He would go on to win that award in six consecutive seasons. An 11 time all star
during his 12 year career, Yonamine also won three Central League batting championships. This is only the second time we have ever had the pleasure of offering an example of this card of the Hawaiian superstar at auction.
Size: 1 5/8" x 2 1/4"
Condition: The card has Ex borders, corners and surface, but has a few dirt marks near the top on the front. The back (redemption information) is quite off-center.
