We know that the Yomiuri Giants won the Japan Series in the years 1951-53, but we don't know which of those three championships these cards commemorate. We know from the backs that there were redemption prizes for these cards. The card at upper right includes an image of a Kobai Caramel box that contained an early 1950s baseball card. In any case, the cards are an attractive example of Japanese cartoon art of the era.
