The Russian superstar is pictured here wearing a uniform worn by members of the All Japan team that played against the San Francisco Seals during their 1949 Tour of Japan. The same uniform was used for the East-West All Star series that year, so we are not sure whether this is an image of Starffin taken during the Seals Tour or an All Star game. Starffin was a participant in both affairs after a strong 27-17, 2.61 1949 season. In either case, the card features an impressive close-up shot of Starffin in action.
