JBR 65 is a striking set of nine large size bromides. The set contains high quality, full color images of the greatest Japanese stars of the era. These pure card, blank backed beauties were probably originally intended to be framed and
hung on a wall by the owner. The cards in this lot depict Kihachi Enomoto (upper left), Shinichi Eto (upper right) and Tadashi Sugiura (bottom). Enomoto won two batting titles and was named to nine Best 9 teams. Eto played in every
Dragons contest for more than six consecutive years. He won back-to-back batting championships in 1964 and 1965. In 1958, Sugiura was Rookie of the Year, MVP and Japan Series MVP. He won 116 games over a four year period
(1958-1961) in seasons of only 130 games. All in all, these cards contain possibly the best close-up images of these three players.
Size: Each card is approximately 6 1/4" x 7 1/4".
