This is another Starffin card that we have not offered for many years. The only other time we offered an example of this card was in our Mini Auction 6 held in 2005. The 2005 example was far off-centered left to right and had pencil writing on the blank back. The example offered here is much nicer (well-centered with no pencil writing). Starffin is portrayed wearing his All Japan team uniform on this card, leading us to believe that the card was produced in honor of the 1949 San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan.
