We believe that this card was likely issued in commemoration of the 1949 San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan. Both players are wearing the 1949 All Japan team uniform. Tsubouchi is carrying a spectacular team "victory" flag. This is the first example of this card known to the hobby. The back is blank except for a manufacturer's stamp which indicates that Tsubouchi is pictured on the front. However, Starffin's visage is unmistakable.
