This ball is signed by one of the greatest teams in Japan baseball history. In 1968, the Giants were in the midst of their V9 era, in which they celebrated nine consecutive
Japan Series titles! This St. Louis Cardinals Logo baseball may have been the type used during the Tour. 12 prominent Yomiuri Giants have signed the ball boldly and
carefully using a black marker. The Giants were the Cardinals' opponents several times during the Tour. Each player wrote his uniform number next to his signature. Players
signing the ball include Japan Hall of Fame members/Golden Players Sadaharu Oh, Tetsuharu Kawakami, Isao Shibata, Masahiko Mori and Tsuneo Horiuchi. Other signees include Shigeru Takada,
Minoru Nakamura, Shozo Doi, Akira Takahashi, Akira Kunimatsu, Kunio Jonouchi and Yukinobu Kuroe. Unfortunately, there is no Shigeo Nagashima or Masaichi
Kaneda autograph, since neither of these two stars played on the Tour. However, except for Nagashima, the signatures represent the Giants' starting lineup and top pitchers
for 1968. Strangely, someone has written "69 TOKYO GIANTS" on the ball in English, but surely this is a mistake as a Cardinals Tour occurred in 1968 and furthermore all 12
players who signed that ball are among the sixteen Giants who participated in the Tour.
Size: Regular baseball size
Condition: Signatures all grade 10 out of 10. The ball is Nm/Mt.
