One of the scarcest sets in the entire Japanese baseball card hobby is the c.1960 set produced by Boken Oh magazine. The set consists of five cards issued in two series.
This card is from Series B. Nagashima appears to be wearing a 1960 Yomiuri Giants uniform in this image. The other two cards in the series depict players wearing 1959 and
1960 uniforms respectively. Thus, our best guess at the year of issue is 1960. This large size card contains a facsimile autograph of Nagashima at lower left.
Nagashima's name and the team's name are printed in Japanese at upper right. "Boken Oh" is printed in Japanese at lower right. The Japanese Baseball Card Checklist &
Price Guide, Vintage Edition assigns a scarcity factor of R5 to this set, signifying that three or fewer copies of each card in the set are known to the hobby. Blank
backed.
