Only a handful of cards from the Big Glove Background bromide set are known. This card is one of only two known examples, and it is in superb condition for a prewar Japanese card. After starring at Meiji University from 1927 to 1931, Kaiichi Masu later joined Japan Pro Baseball, where he patrolled the outfield for the Nagoya team from 1936 (first year of JPB) until 1943. At times he was player/manager. Blank backed.
