This is such a rare issue that of the 20 cards thought to be part of the set, only 14 have been discovered to date. The set is designated as R5 in the Japanese Baseball Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition. The inscription across the top of this card is "double play". Yoshida was the Hanshin Tigers' slick fielding shortstop from 1953 to 1969. He also was a decent hitter, averaging .267 lifetime. He had wonderful bat control, striking out only 325 times in nearly 7,000 at bats.
