Lot Description  

Nichiedo Seika is the earliest Japanese baseball card set featuring actual player images for which a date of issue has been definitively established, making the set a truly groundbreaking one. Mori is listed on this card as Captain of the Waseda U. team in the Tokyo University Big Six League. Mori was the Waseda first baseman from 1925 to 1930. His teams won four consecutive league titles. He was also a founding manager in Japan Pro Baseball, guiding the Tigers and Eagles from 1936 to 1939.
