Offered here is the first issue of the iconic publication, Baseball Magazine, published in April 1946. The Baseball Magazine Co. was founded in 1946 by Tsuneo Ikeda, a member of the Japan Pro Baseball Hall of Fame.
Hall of Famer Hiroshi Oshita of the Tokyu Flyers is featured on the cover. Baseball Magazine is the same company that began producing the modern Japanese baseball card in 1991.
This is one of the first baseball publications produced after World War II. This 34 page magazine is highly sought after by collectors in Japan. Three holes have been punched along the right border. Otherwise, the magazine is in very good condition.
