This is one of the least known of the simple back sets. According to the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist and Price Guide, it has a scarcity factor of R3, indicating that between 10 and 100 copies of each card are known. We have seen an uncut sheet of this issue only once
before. Japan HOFers making an appearance on this sheet include Wally Yonamine (former SF 49ers running back), Masaichi Kaneda (400 game winner-uncatalogued), Kazuhisa Inao (40 game winner), Tadashi Sugiura, Kenjiro Tamiya, Yasumitsu Toyoda. Yoshio Yoshida and Tokuji Iida. Others include
Americans Andy Miyamoto and Mike Solomko. Also, Tanaka-Lions, Kunimatsu-Giants, Tokuhisa-Buffaloes, Tsuchiya-Swallows, Yamamoto-Carp, Bando-Dragons, Kondo-Whales, Hakota-Whales, Kuwata-Whales, Oishi-Whales, Fujimoto-Tigers, Takabayashi-Giants, Tokai-
Giants and Miyake-Tigers.
Size: Each card is 1 13/16" x 3". Each uncut sheet is approximately 7" x 6".
Condition: All sheets have nice gloss. There are mild touches on most sheet corners. Each sheet has creasing in the upper right or lower left corner. Yonamine, Kaneda and Sugiura are affected.
