On November 18, 1934, the U.S. All-Stars defeated the Japanese stars 21-4 in front of 15,000 spectators at Yokohama Stadium. Babe Ruth thrilled the crowd with two majestic round trippers, while Hall of Famers Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx and Earl Averill also homered. Lefty
Gomez was the winning pitcher. Ruth and his teammates played 18 exhibition games in Japan during the month of November. They faced Japanese opponents in 12 cities and won every game. This historic ticket stub is the first example we have seen from the only game
played at Yokohama Stadium. The ticket, originally priced at three yen, features the flags of both America and Japan. The seat was located in row D seat 24 behind home plate. The ticket was clipped along the top edge upon admission to the stadium.
