Izumi was drafted 4th by the Yakult Swallows in 2005. However, his baseball success began well before his pro debut. As a boy, Izumi was a member of the 1997 Japanese Little League World Series
team which represented the Far East. Pitching against Mexico, he threw a one-hitter, allowing only two runners to reach second base. Later, he participated in the National Koshien High School Tournament as a member of the
Utsunomiya Gakuen team.
This high quality jersey has "Yakult" and team logo patches on the left arm. The jersey has a Descente tag, along with year and uniform number tags, a washing instructions tag, and a tag with the player name in Japanese sewn in.
The NPB logo patch is sewn in the collar. Although the jersey has buttons, it is a pullover type. Only the buttons above the Swallows lettering are operable.
Japanese game used pro jerseys are extremely difficult to obtain. It has been a number of years since we have been able to offer one.
Size: No size on any of the tags, but it's roughly a US men's large.
