In 1950, Japan Pro Baseball separated into two leagues, Central and Pacific. This structure is still maintained to the present day. In that year, the Japan Series, matching the pennant winning team of each league in a best of seven games format, was begun. This is the equivalent of the "World Series" in the US. The first season matched the Robins led by Makoto Kozuru (HOF) and the Orions, led by Kaoru Betto (HOF). This full unused ticket is from Game Two, played November 23, 1950 at Korakuen Stadium in Tokyo. The Orions defeated the Robins 5-1 and went on to win the series in six games. Betto was named series MVP.

Size: 2" x 4 1/8".

Condition: Mint.
