While nearly all other 1970s Yamakatsu issues are quite common, the 128 card 1979 JY 8 edition cards are not easily found. As a result, these cards command a large premium over most other 1970s issues. Sadaharu Oh and Shigeo Nagashima each have two cards in the set. There are a whopping 40 cards of HOFers/Golden Players, including at least one card (often two different) of Yutaka Fukumoto (all time stolen base king), Yutaka Enatsu (named best pitcher of the 20th century), Katsuo Osugi, Koji Yamamoto, Hideji Kato, Michio Arito, Tsutomu Wakamatsu, Manabu Kitabeppu, Yasunori Oshima, Kenichi Yazawa, Osamu Higashio, Makoto Matsubara, Choji Murata, Isao Harimoto, Hisashi Yamada, Masaji Hiramatsu, Isao Shibata and Taira Fujita. Also, cards of Americans Leron Lee and Dave Hilton. While we can't promise that you'll complete the set from these 150 cards in packs, we can assure you that you will be off to a great start toward completing this set if you win this lot. The box also contains three albums for mounting the set.
Size: Each card is 2" x 2 3/4". The box is 8 1/2" x 7" x 1 1/8".
Condition: The cards are most likely Mint. Packs are Nm/Mt. Box is Ex. Albums are Mint.
