The red border Hoshi Gangu are so rare that more than half of the issue has never been seen with a red border, and only a dozen red border cards in total have been found. Four of these cards are the only red border examples known in the hobby. The most prominent of these is the card featuring Hall of Famers Shigeo Nagashima and Futoshi Nakanishi. This has to be the rarest early Nagashima card there is. Other one-of-a-kind cards in the lot feature Kazuhisa Inao (HOF) and Itsuro Honda, Tadashi Sugiura (HOF), and Inao (HOF) and Yoshio Anabuki. The fifth card pictures HOFers Katsuya Nomura (657 lifetime HR) and Motoshi Fujita. This is the second example known of that card. The winner of this lot will own some of the rarest cards in the entire baseball card hobby.
Size: Each card is 1 5/16" x 2 5/8".
Condition: Nagashima/Nakanishi-missing lower left corner tip. Otherwise Vg/Ex. Sugiura-Ex+. Inao/Honda-Ex. Inao/Anabuki-Vg/Ex. Nomura/Fujita-Good.
