While items from Japan are considered to be much scarcer than their American counterparts, it is virtually unheard of to find vintage memorabilia from Korea. This autobiography, entitled Jackie Robinson, was first published in English in 1950. Author Bill Roeder was a sports reporter for the New York World-Telegram in 1950 who later joined the staff at Newsweek. This is a first-edition, Korean-language version published in August 1955 by the Seoul Newspaper Co.
Interestingly, the title page cover is printed with Korean and Japanese text. Black Baseball King is printed in Japanese above Jackie Robinson printed in Korean.
