The Brooklyn Dodgers played a series of 19 games during their Tour of Japan, finishing with a record of 14-4-1. The Tour marked Jackie Robinson's fond farewell to baseball. This is an infield ticket for the game of 10/20/56, which was the second game of the Tour. The Dodgers rolled to a 7-1 victory over their Japanese opposition before 35,000 spectators. Clem Labine pitched a complete game. Roy Campanella belted two homers. Masaichi Kaneda, the greatest pitcher of his era, took the loss. While we have auctioned numerous tickets from the 1956 Dodgers Tour over the years, this is the first ticket for the game of 10/20 that we have ever auctioned.
