In our 37 years of buying, selling and auctioning Japanese baseball cards, we have never seen an example of the card being auctioned here! It is the exact size of JBR 14 and JBR 15, both of which were printed in 1958. JBR 14 consists entirely of Shigeo Nagashima rookie cards. However, we know that every JBR 14 card has already been catalogued, as we have opened several hanging bundles of cards from that issue. Similarly, we know that the card is not part of JBR 15, since all cards in that set have the player's name printed on them. But, given the size, image, paper stock and printing style, all of which thus far are unique to 1958 issues, we have to assume that the card offered here is from c.1958.
