Produced by the Doeisha Co., this card was part of a series that features images of famous people. Each person's name is printed three times on his or her card. In this case, "DiMaggio" is printed three times across the top in Japanese hiragana. Each card may be further divided into three equal pieces along perforation marks. Obviously, this DiMaggio card was never divided. We presume that the cards were used to play some type of game in which each one was separated into three pieces, put in a pile, and then the cards were reassembled. However, we are merely guessing. In any case, this is an unusual and rare Joe DiMaggio card.

At this point, the card stands as the highest graded example by major third party graders. This is the only SGC graded example. PSA has graded two examples (PSA 5 and PSA Authentic). CGC has not yet graded an example of this card.
