Only two copies of this card are known to exist today. The card was probably a first prize premium card originally offered by the manufacturer on a product display sheet. Michio Nishizawa is seen here in a large, colorized image wearing his 1950 Chunichi Dragons uniform. During the prewar years, Nishizawa was an outstanding pitcher. After the war, he became an even better hitter. In fact, Michio Nishizawa joins Babe Ruth as the only players to win 20 games in a season as a pitcher, and later lead the league in batting average! Nishizawa also slugged 46 homers in a season.

Blank back card

Size: 5 5/16" x 7 7/16"

Condition: The card appears to have been pasted into an album at one point, as there are extra paper and glue remnants in each corner of the reverse side. Otherwise, the card would be Vg/Ex.
