Sanritsu Seika Fusen Gum cards were unknown to the hobby until the past few years. Only a handful of them have been discovered to date, with only one or two copies of any card known. Cards from this issue could easily be mistaken for JF 35 Asayama Fusen Gum cards. The principal difference is that Sanritsu Seika Fusen Gum is printed in Japanese where one might normally find Asayama Fusen Gum printed.
This card features Masayasu Kaneda, an outfielder for the Hanshin Tigers from 1942 to 1957. A left handed batter and a fleet footed runner, the 5' 7", 150 lb. Kaneda put up some big numbers in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He batted over .300 six times. In 1947, he once hit for the cycle.
