Juzo Sanada (1923-1994) began his Japan Pro Baseball career in 1943. After a two-year absence due to World War II, he resumed his career with the Pacific team, and later joined the Robins and Tigers, retiring after the 1956 season. No cards were produced of Sanada until 1947. Sanada, a pitcher, was known for having the best curveball in Japan Pro Baseball, which he rode to 39 victories in 1950. During his career, he pitched two no hitters. He was inducted into the Japan Pro Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.
