Satoshi "Fibber" Hirayama was an American of Japanese ancestry. Born in Exeter, California, he excelled on both the diamond and gridiron at Fresno State College, following success playing in a World War II internment camp league. After several years playing for the Stockton Ports in the California League, Hirayama entered the US military. In 1956, after completion of his military service, he signed with the Hiroshima Carp. Hirayama, an outfielder, played in Japan for 10 seasons. This Hirayama card has not been previously checklisted. The Hirayama card is on the left. The right hand card depicts Flyers righthander Shin Makino.

Size: Each card is 1 13/16" x 3". The uncut pair is 3 5/8" x 3".

Condition: Ex/Mt to Nm. There is some extra paper on the back from the pair's previous attachment to a prize sheet as is typical of prize pairs.
