This set was issued with the January 1952 issue of Omoshiro Book magazine which went on sale in December 1951. The cards, (40 Player & 40 Reading Cards) are still with their original box. Originally, the cards were issued in uncut blocks of four cards, which were then cut into single cards in order to play a card game.

The set includes the following 17 HOFers: Wally Yonamine (Hawaii), Tetsuharu Kawakami, Takehiko Bessho, Hiroshi Oshita, Katsumi Shiraishi, Yoshiyuki Iwamoto, Kazuto Yamamoto (Tsuruoka), Shigeru Sugishita, Makoto Kozuru, Masaichi Kaneda, Shigeru Chiba, Noboru Aota, Atsushi Aramaki, Kaoru Betto, Ryohei Hasegawa, Michio Nishizawa and Tokuji Iida.

Size: Each card is approximately 2" x 2 3/8". All were hand cut from blocks of four cards, so they vary in size.
