This is the only JGA 16 Kaoru Betto card ever evaluated by any third party grading company! The JGA 16 color Game Card set has always been prized by collectors for its attractive color player images that closely resemble the person being depicted. The 48 card set was originally sold in a playing card style box. The set is quite scarce, as fewer than 10 examples of any card are known to exist. Moreover JGA 16 cards have almost never been submitted to third party grading companies. In fact, PSA has never graded any JGA 16 card. SGC has graded one card, and CGC has graded the one offered here.
1949 was Kaoru Betto's second year in Japan Pro Baseball, and his last with the Osaka Tigers. In 1949, Betto batted .322 with an impressive 39 homers and 126 RBIs.
