Although we are not positive, we believe that this giant sized poster was used in 1964 by Hochi Shimbun (Newspaper) to inform the public each time Sadaharu Oh homered on his way to a record 55 home runs. The poster has a blank space in the vertical column of text between Oh's surname and "homer number". We believe that the number of Oh's latest home run was drawn onto one of these posters by someone at the newspaper each time he hit a home run, and it was then posted so that passers by could see it. The horizontal text across the bottom reads "Hochi Shimbun Special Report".

We have never before had the opportunity to offer this item. It would certainly deserve a place of honor in any Sadaharu Oh memorabilia collection.
