This is only the second JK 2 Karuta card of Victor Starffin that we have ever auctioned! The card has been graded PSA 8, which makes it special. It is a 1 of 1 highest graded example.

Starffin had gone 17-13, 2.17 in 1948, which was an admirable record, since he was pitching for a team that finished well under .500. In 1949, when the Stars surpassed the .500 mark, Starffin’s won/loss record improved as well. He led the league in innings pitched with an astounding 376 innings and led the league in wins with 27.
