This is a 1964 JF 2 Sadaharu Oh Morinaga Top Star (non-standup version) card. Thus, the back of the card contains a short player biography rather than instructions for making a standup easel. This series has always been extremely popular with U.S. collectors of Japanese cards because of the excellent photography, glossy surface and large size. 1964 was the year that Oh slugged his single season record of 55 home runs--a record that stood for nearly 50 seasons. Oh also won his first of nine Central League MVP awards that year.
