This card was produced in honor of the 1949 San Francisco Seals Tour of Japan. It is only the second time that we have been able to offer a copy of this card at auction.  Of the hundreds of different cards produced in Japan surrounding the Tour, this card is one of the scarcest.  However, the image is from a game played in the U.S.  The Seals' skipper and Japan Hall of Fame member is depicted with three boys in Seals uniforms described as "Grounds Boys" in the Japanese text on the card front.

Size:  Approximately 2 5/16” x 2”

Condition:  Fairly sharp corners and borders.  Dark clear image.  There is a crease at the upper right corner, and there is some paper loss at upper right on the blank back due to previous placement in a photo album.
