Eishiro Yoshie (1922-1986) was born in Vancouver, Canada. He went to high school in Japan and participated in the National High School Baseball Championships at Koshien. He then moved on to Waseda U., where he was a student during war years of the early 1940s. After graduation, he played in Japan amateur baseball, until joining Japan Pro Baseball. 1948 was Yoshie's first of three seasons playing Japan Pro Baseball. A member of the Kyuei Flyers, Yoshie, a right handed pitcher, posted a record of 16-9. 3.14.

This is the first Eishiro Yoshie autographed item that we have ever handled. We are not sure whether he signed this baseball card "E. Yoshie", or "Ei Yoshie". Possibly, "Ei" was a nickname. He signed the card boldly in blue ink.
