Suzuki Publishing's Nagashima Senshu karuta set will appear in the next edition of the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide, Vintage Edition. The set was produced in honor of Shigeo Nagashima's sensational rookie season. It contains nine photographic player cards, along with 36 cartoon cards. Offered here is one of the photographic player cards of Nagashima. The card features a colorized image of the great third baseman fielding, which has been reproduced for several menko and bromide sets, usually in black & white.

Cards from this set were fairly commonly seen 15 to 20 years ago, but since then, the supply of these cards seems to have dried up.
