Following the 1974 season, the New York Mets played 18 games in Japan against the Yomiuri Giants and various Japan Pro Baseball all star teams, compiling a record of 9 wins, 7 losses and 2 ties. The Mets had a star studded roster including Tom Seaver, Jon Matlack, Jerry Koosman, Joe Torre and manager Yogi Berra. Sadaharu Oh headed the Japanese contingent, and clubbed six roundtrippers during the series off of Mets pitching.

This large, never before seen, four page flyer contains photos of some prominent Tour participants on the front and back covers, along with rosters for the Mets and for all the Japanese teams they played on the Tour. A scorecard also appears on the back page. The late Tom Seaver's smiling countenance appears at upper right on the cover page just above the photo of Japan HOFer, Koichi Tabuchi. At lower left is a nice closeup image of Sadaharu Oh and Shigeo Nagashima. On the back above the scorecard, we see three large photos featuring (left to right) Hall of Fame members/Golden Players Kenichi Yazawa, Isao Harimoto and Hiromitsu Kadota.

This item was prepared for Game 10 of the Tour. Scores and winning/losing pitchers for the first eight contests are printed on the bottom line of page 3 at left. At that point in the Tour, the Mets had a 2-4-2 record against their rivals.

Size: 7 5/8" x 10 1/2". 4 pages.
