There are three different cards of Sadaharu Oh in the JY 12 set. Among the three cards, only five have received the grade of PSA 9, with none higher. Two of the five cards which have achieved that lofty assessment appear right here in this lot.
1980 was Sadaharu Oh's final season as a Japan Pro Baseball player. Even at age 40, he was able to play first base in 129 games of the 130 game season. While his batting average fell to .236 in 1980, he managed to bow out with 30 homers for the season...not bad for someone about to retire from the game. Those 30 dingers increased his career total to an unassailable 868.
These cards provide a nearly pristine memento of an incredible baseball career.
Size: Each card is 2" x 2 3/4".
Condition: Both cards have been graded PSA 9 (Mint). None graded higher.
