This is only the third example of this card that we have encountered. The card was originally issued as a first prize premium on a display sheet. Michio Nishizawa is depicted in a Nagoya Dragons uniform that was worn between 1950 and 1953.

Michio Nishizawa made his Japan Pro Baseball debut as a pitcher in 1937 at the age of only 15! In 1940, at the age of 18, he went 20-9 with a 1.92 ERA. He pitched a no hitter in 1942. After the end of World War II, he switched to first base, where he became an even bigger star until his retirement after the 1958 season. A five time all-star, Nishizawa was inducted into the Japan Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977. Blank backed card.

Size: 7 1/2" x 10 1/4"

Condition: Based on only the front, the card would grade of Near Mint. The blank back contains extra paper and glue on the back, resulting from previous attachment to a display sheet. All examples of this card would contain such glue and paper, and does not lower the grade of the card. However, "No. 9" has been stamped on the reverse at lower left, most likely by someone other than the manufacturer.
