There are four versions of the JRM 2 set, each with a different diameter. They are known as (JRM 2, 2a, 2b and 2c). We know that 24 examples of the various JRM 2 types covering all players have been slabbed by PSA. Of those, only two JRM 2 cards have been authenticated, and one of them is the card of Bozo Wakabayashi offered here. (The other is the Fumio Fujimura card offered in this auction). This example was awarded the grade of PSA 6 (Ex/Mt), making it 1 of 1, the highest graded example, and the only graded example.

Henry Wakabayashi was born on a pineapple plantation in Hawaii in 1908. Japanese scouts were so impressed with his pitching skills that he was brought to Japan to play in the Tokyo Big Six University League, which was Japan's top league at the time, beginning in 1929. Later, as a member of the Tigers team in Japan Pro Baseball, he compiled a 237-144 won-loss record with a lifetime 1.99 ERA.
