We know that this is a rookie card of Sanada because the cap he is wearing in the photo was worn by Robins players only in 1947 and 1948. Moreover, the top character of the team name "Taiyo" was written with a dot at lower center only during the 1947 season. While Sanada was a Japan Pro Baseball player during the 1943 and 1946 seasons, no cards of Sanada were issued until 1947.

Juzo Sanada, a pitcher, was known for having the best curveball in Japan Pro Baseball, which he rode to 39 victories in 1950. During his career, he pitched two no hitters. He was inducted into the Japan Pro Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990. Blank backed card.

Size: 1 1/8" x 2 3/8"

Condition: Beautiful borders, corners and front surface, except for some chipping in the upper right corner. Paper loss in the corners of the blank back indicate previous mounting in an album.
