The 1934 U.S. All Star Tour of Japan featured the most star-studded lineup of any U.S. Japan Tour team before or since. Headlined by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and managed by Connie Mack, the U.S. All Star starting lineup included no fewer than six future U.S. Hall of Famers plus one Japan Hall of Fame member (Lefty O'Doul) and a reputed super spy (Moe Berg). The Japan All Star squad boasted more than a dozen future Japan Hall of Famers including the famed Russian, Victor Starffin, and the legendary pitcher, Eiji Sawamura.

This ticket is for Game 1 of the 18 game series, played at Jingu Stadium on November 4, 1934. The Americans demolished the Japanese that day by a score of 17-1. Earl Whitehill pitched a complete game. Despite the 17 runs scored by the U.S. team, no homers were hit. The Americans went on to win every game of the series. Ruth batted .408 with 13 homers. Earl Averill batted .378 with 8 round trippers. Whitehill and Lefty Gomez both had ERAs of less than 1.50.

The ticket itself has been used, as it was punched in the center. Unlike most 1934 Tour tickets that we have seen, the ticket was torn very carefully from its original block, so that the perforations at the left and right borders are still in essentially perfect condition.
