It can be seen from the blank back that this card was originally attached to a display sheet, as were all cards in this set. Interestingly, cards in JBR 35 and associated sets have either "Hinomaru" or "Tokyo" printed in a circle on the front. This is the first example of this card that we have ever encountered, and the card will be added to the JBR 35a checklist in the next edition of the Japanese Baseball Card Checklist & Price Guide. Thus, we can state that at present, this card is thought to be unique in the hobby. Oshita, a native of Taiwan, was known for his blue bat and his sordid off-the-field behavior. A graduate of Meiji University and a trained kamikaze pilot, Oshita was selected to seven Best 9 teams and won three batting titles and an MVP award.

Size: 3" x 4 3/8"
