There is only one Victor Starffin rookie card. We have offered that scarce card, which was produced in 1946, a few times in the past. The card on offer here, is previously unknown to the hobby. It features the identical image of Starffin as his rookie card, but this card must have been issued in 1947, as the Japanese text on the card front includes the team name Robins. Starffin joined the Robins in 1947 after playing for Pacific in 1946. While the 1946 version of this card does not include a manufacturer name or logo, this card contains the Marusaka logo near bottom right. Also, there is a baseball glove on this card at lower left that does not appear on the 1946 card. We propose an early 1947 date of manufacture for this card, as it uses the 1946 rookie card photo, but uses the Robins name without showing him in a Robins uniform. In any case, if you are a Starffin fan, this is your chance to acquire an early and previously unknown card of Starffin for your collection. Blank backed.
