Bride Players was a production of the TYK Toyoko Eiga Film Company and the Daiei Company, owners of the Daiei Stars baseball team. We are not quite sure as to the significance of the title, but the women in the picture seem like they could
be potential brides for Japan Baseball Hall of Famer, Hiroshi Oshita, who is depicted prominently on the poster. The movie was directed by Isamu Kosugi, and made its debut in theatres in March 1948. Oshita is listed as appearing in the
film along with a number of other Tokyu Flyers players. The soundtrack was produced by Columbia Records.
