After playing 14 seasons for the Pirates and Dodgers almost exclusively as an infielder, by 1949 Arky Vaughan had moved to the San Francisco Seals and converted to the outfield. 1949 was his final season in organized baseball. In the Japanese text printed on this card, Vaughan is referred to as Joseph Vaughan (his birth name) rather than Arky. All JBR 80a card types used the same images. However, card sizes, borders and text printed on the card varied by manufacturer. Blank backed.
