The 1952 JGA 38 Osato Gangu Color Cards are orders of magnitude scarcer than the 1951 black & white issue. Only three copies are known of this card of Japan Hall of Famer Kazuto Tsuruoka, and this is the finest example of the three. Tsuruoka, a right handed hitting infielder, was named to the all star team in each of his eight professional seasons with the Hawks. However, he was best known for his managerial skills. He managed in Japan Pro Baseball for a record 23 consecutive seasons, leading the Hawks to 11 pennants and two Japan Series championships.
